Salon Policies and Etiquette

Kindly take a moment to familiarise yourself with our policies, which are designed to ensure we can look after you to the best of our ability, provide duty of care, and avoid misunderstandings.

At ACSS, we are a family, and pride ourselves in creating a professional and positive environment. Keeping this in mind, we ask that you respect our policies, our staff, premises, and belongings.

Booking Policy

A 50% prepayment will be required to confirm your booking. 

Appointment & Cancellation Policies

We request that you advise us of any changes or cancellations to your booking at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. 

ACSS is in high demand and given our investment in our highly qualified therapists, our running costs, and our respect for time, this 24-hour time frame is non-negotiable.

100% of the prepayment will apply for all unattended appointments that have not been canceled or rescheduled within the 24-hour time frame. 

We pay equal care and respect to your time. In the instance that we may not be able to carry out our services and need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we will give you an option of a full refund or credit with us within a 24 hour period.

Before Your Treatment

We request that you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your appointment, to ensure the best possible experience. Please note that if you are late for an appointment, we may need to shorten your treatment, and the full treatment fee will apply.

Upon arrival, you will be requested to wash your hands in adherence to our strict hygiene practices. You will be given the option to relax with refreshments before your discussion with the therapist about what your treatment entails.

Your therapist might request additional information, or that you fill in forms to allow further understanding about your needs, concerns, and any special requests prior to treatment.

We request that men shave before their facial treatments and that if possible, women arrive with clean, makeup-free skin. 

If you are undergoing any kind of medical treatment or are unwell, we require that you inform us prior to the commencement of your treatment. 

For the safety and respect of other clients, and to maintain a state of tranquility and peace in our space, please note that ACSS is a child-free environment. 

During Your Treatment

To ensure all guests can experience comfort, privacy, and a peaceful atmosphere, we require that your mobile phone is switched off, or on silent, during all treatments. 

After Your Treatment

As our commitment to you goes beyond the treatment room, our therapists are likely to prescribe a skincare plan that includes further treatments, at-home care, and product recommendations. Your skin journey will be recorded under your file, including appointments, discussions, and recommendations.

Gift Cards

Spoil yourself, or your loved ones for a special occasion! Our gift certificates, which include both skincare products as well as treatments, can be purchased over the phone, online via our website or email, and in person. A postage fee of $1 applies, should you require local postage.

All gift cards have a 3-year expiry to ensure you have plenty of time for use. Gift cards are non-refundable once purchased, and cannot be redeemed for cash, or transferred in any form.

When booking using a gift card, please advise your card number, and bear in mind that all prices and services are subject to change from time to time.

A 50% services fee will be charged in line with our cancellation policy if appointments are not canceled outside the 24-hour time frame. All gift cards are canceled where appointments are unattended.

Promotional Cards

When making your appointment, kindly advise us if you would like to utilise a promotional card, which must be presented before your treatment on the day.

Please note, all promotional cards cannot be used in conjunction with other offers and discounts, and can only be redeemed for a service.

They cannot be used to purchase gift cards, redeemed for cash, transferred, or used in December. They are null and void after expiry, and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Expiry dates on the cards may vary and will be at the discretion of management depending upon the promotional offer.

Gift cards are non-refundable once purchased, and cannot be redeemed for cash, or transferred in any form.

Salon Hygiene

We have always been renowned for our hygiene practices, but especially during the current global situation, we must go over and above to ensure safety and best practice. We adhere to a high level of cleanliness and sterilisation throughout the clinic.

Every client can have peace of mind that clean towels and sheets are utilised in each treatment.

All instruments are regularly sterilised in a certified autoclave, and where possible, disposable instruments are used.

All treatments are performed in compliance with the Public Health Act 2010, particularly in regards to skin penetration procedures such as collagen induction therapy.

Covid-19 Policy and Procedures

ACSS is a safe, registered business. Our therapists, Anna and Kelly, both have a Graduate Diploma in Infection Control in 2017 and strictly adhere to all COVID-19 Policy and Procedures. All ACSS staff have completed the COVID-19 Infection Control training. 

Keeping you, our therapists, and the rest of our clients safe is our priority, hence we require that if you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, you do not enter the clinic. Please call us immediately to change your appointment. 

You can pre-order products online or over the phone to be mailed out or collected, should you need something urgently.

We also require that all visitors check-in via the QR Code system when visiting the clinic, or, if you do not have a mobile phone, please check-in manually at reception. Upon entering the clinic, please wash and sanitise your hands.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation, in helping us build a safe, positive, and tranquil atmosphere at ACSS.

Product Returns or Refunds

All skincare products purchased from ACSS can be returned within 7 calendar days but must be unused. Please ensure the products are in their original packaging and in the same condition it was received.

Returns will only be accepted if the below protocol is followed and there is a legitimate reason, which does not cover scenarios such as change of mind, finding a discount elsewhere, or not being able to utilise the product. 

Our procedure for returns requires that you notify us first via a phone call. Once we can confirm the return is going to be acceptable, we may require that you fill out a form (in the case of an allergic reaction). An email confirmation will be required after the phone conversation.

Please ensure the product is mailed to our salon address (PO BOX 497, Cronulla, NSW 2230) and that all postage fees are covered. Please ensure it is packaged carefully to retain its original condition, and please retain the return receipt and tracking information.

Customers are entitled to seek resolutions directly from manufacturers or importers if the goods do not meet quality guidelines, do not match the description provided, or if an allergic reaction is experienced. 

In the case of an allergic reaction, proof in the form of photos may need to be supplied. We will also require a form to be completed to ascertain details that will be passed on to the supplier, and the refund is contingent upon the form being filled correctly and thoroughly. 

Either a refund or a replacement will be issued based on the outcome.
